I made a break through tonight with my Mama Cat.  A little over 4 years ago, she started coming to my door and I started feeding her.  I did not realize it at the time, but she was pregnant.  One day I came home from work and she didnt come to eat.   It was odd for her and I thought something was wrong and then I heard it....the little mews coming from inside the home I made her.  Inside I took them and they have been with me ever since.  Mama has always been cautious of me.  When she was nursing, I was allowed to pet and touch but all that changed once the babies got older.  I have been working with Mama and my other unsocial cats and with Mama it is starting to pay off.  Tonight she came over and allowed me to pet and scratch her.  Then she started head butting my hand.  She rolled over for a belly rub and landed on my fork and plate and then it was over.  30 seconds of a normal cat..free from caution and concern, not only allowing me to touch her but actually initiating more contact.  I figure in another 4 years, she just might be comfortable enough to sit in my lap. 

Great news for me, I just found out hours earlier that I passed the state exam.  I am weeks away from becoming a licensed tech in Ohio.  The snow is finally melting.  The temp. outside has been decent.  Hopefully snow is done for the season. ...one can only hope!  Anyway it was a good day.
